Nov 24, 2023Recently, according to the latest data from the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), Germany installed 919MW of new photovoltaic capacity in September, compared with 1056MW in August 2022 and 750MW in September.
In the first nine months of this year, developers connected 10.72 gigawatts of solar energy to the grid, up from 5.6 gigawatts in the same period last year.
This means that the German government’s target of 9 GW of new installed capacity by this year has been exceeded. As of the end of September, Germany's cumulative solar capacity exceeded 77.67 GW.
The total capacity of rooftop systems subsidized by feed-in tariffs or market premiums reached 666 MW in September, also the lowest since February and a significant decrease compared to previous months.
